Re: NXT software's "My Portal" tab now actually does something

You have to be connected to the internet for it to work. The panel is basically a tiny web browser (it uses Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine). (18 years ago, 18-Sep-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: mindstorms NXT

If Lego obeys the USB standard and uses fullsize receptacles, it'll be a "B" type connector on the NXT. Hence, you'd need a B-male to A-female cable, which is "illegal" according to the USB standards. You might hack up your own, but that's (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

LCD image editor for the NXT -- at LEGO Engineering.com

  Re: Pneumatic cylinder/pump

(...) Hehehe. I built one a couple years ago and have never taken it apart because it works so well -- the design is great. I keep it on hand as my pure-LEGO compressor. Once in a while I forget this and try to find my "missing" 9V motor. :) (18 years ago, 3-Nov-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 7905 building crane

I think this is one of the best System sets to come out in quite a while. You get an amazing number and variety of pieces for a very good price, including those triangular girders (16 of them!) in yellow. I've only ever seen them in black, and that (...)   Connect BT devices to the NXT without a passkey?

Is it possible to connect BT devices to an NXT without using a passkey? The device I'm trying to use (a Nintendo Wii remote) doesn't use passkeys, AFAIK, since when I connect it to my PC I skip the pairing process. (18 years ago, 28-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics)
