| | Problems in RTL?
| Am I the only one having any problems in RTL today, or are there no new messages there since yesterday? Hmmmm. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.general)

| Thanks Mark, I'll try later. Hey, I had a great time at the restaurant last week. It was great meeting you, Scott, and the others. I'm looking forward to the Michigan Legofest. Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) It is highly unlikely that it came from 1970's Homemaker set #266 (Child's Bedroom), which has 16 of them in the bedspread and stool top designs (just bought one). Lugnet has this. Just rambling, Gary Istok (25 years ago, 26-May-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Corrections to LUGNET Sets Database.
| Opps, I forgot to reply.... yes I did check the mint copy of the 1961 Samsonite Catalog. The writing does say "V1867". So this is not a date (1967?), but some internal code? Since LEGO (Samsonite) was sold in the USA for the first time in 1961, and (...) (25 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

| | Re: Plans vs imagination
| I agree with Kevin and Silas. Back in the 60's (when I was a child), I remember getting the Junior Constructor set #717, for Christmas. The only instructions were on the inside of the box top. It was a 500 piece set, and there were only 3 pictures (...) (25 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: More train service packs?
| (...) there were a lot of train service packs available at Toy retailers. They would have them either hanging from stands, or in a big box underneath the LEGO displays. Back in the 80's and early 90's, I purchased a lot of specialty pieces (fences, (...) (25 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

| | Re: a short rant...
| Well the AS (AucZILLA Standard) gets a little skewed on occasion. I, myself am a good reason why. I've been on a buying spree lately, and wasn't going to participate in Auczilla X, except for the fact that I had a balance from previous Auczilla's. (...) | | LEGO and Martian Manhunter....
| Many people have discussed the corrosive effects of time on history. And this is so true about LEGO. So much of what has happened in the past about LEGO has unfortunately not been well documented, even by the LEGO Archives in Billund. However, this (...) | | The History of Building Movie Palaces.
