  Re: 10152 Update

(...) I agree with you Jonathan. Anyone who buys Lego as an investment should look elsewhere to invest. I own 10 copies of 6390 Main Street. Then 20 years later they re-release it. Was I mad? No, TLG never said that old sets would not be (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) Bill, I couldn't agree more. Maybe lugnet should come out with lugnet.lego.complain for those people who have complaints about the company and the product. That way those people who don't want to hear complaints, can simply ignore (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Is Neon sign with Lego logo OK to produce & sell

Jake (and others), I just came across this neon Lego sign (newly produced in Asia) that sports the official Lego logo. Does this violate any company copyrights? (URL) Istok (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) Hey Scott!!! (One of the AFOLs I went to lunch with while working in Ann Arbor 4 years ago) How's it going! Too bad about "W" winning, huh ;-) (running for cover). I too have a lot to sort, boxes and boxes and boxes..... somewhere in all that (...) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  A 1960's Lego Christmas Fantasy

Eric Strand was nice enough to post these pictures on his Brickshelf site. I call them a "1960's Lego Christmas Fantasy". It shows many of the larger (as well as smaller) Lego sets produced in the late 1950's and 1960's. I took these pictures about (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

What to do with extra Maersk Blue Pellets...

OK, TLG angered a number of AFOL's. TLG won't go back and tell Maersk that they cannont commit to their order. So they will produce more of the 10152's. Without getting into the dark blue controversy, is there anything that they could do for AFOLs (...) (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Toy store won't sell me any Lego!

(...) This is such a bizarre story.... perhaps you should contact your local TV news station. Most cities have "problem solvers" type news reporters who find stories that they try to solve, usually against corrupt businesses. But this one would make (...)   Re: Rarest Old Lego Part

(...) Well Eric Strand brought this to my attention. These are the rare 1x1 round oil drums I was talking about: (URL) EBAY auction also shows the old 50's (earliest of 4 variations) Esso Pumps, and old 50's (earliest of 3 variations) Esso sign.   12 spoke Train Wheels that were not released

A few months ago one of the AFOL's brought to my attention the fact that 12 spoke red train wheels were not produced for sale, and yet they show up in 1968-75 Lego brochures and books. I was unaware just how much this "faux pas" existed in old Lego (...) (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Happy New Year all! Un Bonne & Heureuse Annee! Ein gesundes rutsch ins Neues Jahr! (Hoffentlich wird 2005 ein besseres Jahr wie 2004). I know that 2004 has brought about a lot of differences among AFOL's. Let's just agree to disagree, and try not to (...) (20 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.general) !

Re: FBTB Fourms: How we miss you

(...) What the Heck is this (didn't want to use "heck")? I just checked out that site, and it looks like a site where "raunchy Lego talk" takes place.
