Re: LL Trains (was Re:8 wide and bigger(was Re: 8 Wide)

(URL) 403 - (URL) leads me to believe they are 16 stud, it looks like there are 3 4stud wide sections divided by 1x tiles, and the outside edges are 1x. Then again, the outside edges could be 2x, making them 18studs wide. (...) -- | Tom Stangl, (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Assuming they are semmetical, the trains then are 20 studs wide. Better get that car _much_ wider there John! (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

  How to avoid UV discoloration?

How (if at all) do the various Legolands avoid UV damage to the lighter- colored brick used in their outdoor displays? Do they have some sort of nifty sunblock, do they replace the bricks every so often, do they simply not worry about it, or (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) I think of Johnny Thunder as smarmy. If I were to re-enact a stereotypical silent movie in LEGO (such as: heroine tied to train tracks by ev-il villian, rescued by virtuous hero), Johnny would be the villian. Steve (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.adventurers)

  RE: Friction Pulley question

(...) Interesting point. This got me thinking... Lego almost never provides instructions for the "proper" use of pieces. Most of the time it's not needed, and wouldn't fit with the Lego philosophy of being creative and using your imagination. But (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
