(...) Very old. They were used in a western set back in the mid-70s, with the original armless, faceless minifigs. They are standard (even multiples of 1 "stud length") sized, as are the flex tubes. Although I've noticed that sometimes the ribbed tubes seem to be cut a little long or short, and are off by 1 "rib" or so. "Steve Bliss" <blisses@worldnet.att.net> (...) The puzzle thing is very good - I don't know how many others do this, but I usually try to build a new set from the box cover illustration. For smaller sets, it's easy; for technic sets, it's often quite difficult. But fun! Jeff (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
