  Re: Multitasking

From: "David Leeper" <david.leeper@destiny.com> (...) night (...) Cruise and avoid is a pretty simple type of program, and multitasking really isn't necessary. I wrote a sublimation version of it mostly to play with the concepts of sublimation. Two (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: SFX?

Actually, a magnet and reed switch would be more reliable than a touch sensor. Or maybe use an optical sensor. I'm not into train cars and such, but I'd be happy to contribute some motorized RCX-controlled scenery. The RCX remote control makes it (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: Two new LEGO pages

Thomas, your movies are spectacular! I was laughing so hard at the UFO one that several of my cow-orkers came over to see what was the matter. Since they're all LEGO fans, too, they enjoyed the movies as well. I also am impressed by your Crossbots! (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: How old are you?

Sorry for being off-topic ... I'm not sure they're currently airing in the U.S. (although they're probably available on Satellite). You can get just over half of the episodes via Columbia House's RE-TV monthly shipments; for some reason (I think (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Two new LEGO pages

(...) Tell me about it... :} The big problem with getting a slower walk is that minifigs have a very limited range of motion. It's hard to get a smooth leg motion up and over then next LEGO stud in front of them, and getting them in a transitional (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: NQC 2.1 b2 in beta test

(...) I think NQC should be strictly a compiler. It seems like it would be more manageable for both developers and users if the RCX communication pieces were in a separate executable. This change should make NQC completely portable (if there is such (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  RE: Ping-Pong Ball Shooter

All the commercial ball shooters that I have seen use either a pair of spinning wheels, or a launching tube with a blast of air. I believe the air blast works better with lighter balls. The spinning wheels setup works best if the wheels and/or the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
