I have never seen a 3225 for sale in the US or Canada at a store that wasn't directly operated by TLC. That may change but it seems to be the case now. In europe there are stores that sell it though. I am using a HD with expansion board. Periodically when I run the motors at anything less than 100 they spin with very little power and both the red and green lights on the board light up.
