  Re: No new space sets?

(...) Well actually, as far as we know, that's just a rumor. (...) Probably not exactly the same, no. (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: No new space sets?

(...) This gives me some amusement because you could see the introduction of the minifigure and the first line of "classic space" as just being "concerned with making money and exploiting trends" as well. Star Wars was the rage by the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) Well-designed modules can produce a better whole than a designed-as-a-lump one, for a complicated-enough system. This is why object-oriented programming is so popular. Or why networking protocols are thought of as layers. (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: RCX speaks ?

(...) I'm not sure if LegOS yet gives you raw control over the speaker. You'd certainly need at least that. You wouldn't be able to use the standard-firmware based systems (RCX Code, NQC, RoboLab), for sure. Even with LegOS, there's the issue of not (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Hello there!

On Tue, 9 Feb 1999 22:07:42 GMT, John VanZwieten uttered the following profundities... (...) Another annual trip to Springfield Illinois, but forgot to ask if the sales were any better this year! I leave tomorrow, again, for a week. I guess I will (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.il.spr)

  Re: Pirate Scans Wanted

(...) Don't know. Ask him. (...) No, it is from 1989. I think you mean 6249. Grahame (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.db.scans)

Re: [WTB] - Grey parts pack (er, ah.. Sith infiltrator) in bulk

  Re: DixieLUG ?

(...) oohhh, my cat, mr. pagannini just _loves_ dogs... he thinks they taste great! ;-) ~ so the 22nd it is then. later ~ craig~ (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ga)

  RCX speaks ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use tone in RCX to create « artificial voice ». Browsing on the net, I did not find correspondence between phonema and tone. I would like to introduce in my programs some expressions related to variable values ( (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Any interest in an instructions box??

(...) Ryan, I would. I suggested something like this (instructions + catalogs) a couple of months ago, but I haven't gotten around to starting one yet. I started trying to collect my extras, which I haven't finished doing yet. An envelope probably (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) While modules aren't designed for any particular setup, the space stations designed and built as one unit are designed so that certain components function with certain other components. Such specific design results in a better functioning (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: No new space sets?

(...) Wow. You sure have a big Unhappy about LEGO...Don't you think you might be over-reacting a bit? James (URL) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Motor output multiplexing

(...) Those are called "micro motors" and S&H sells them for $11. Pitsco sells them for $10, but I can't tell if they come with the housing bits. I've read in several places that if you stall them they tend to jam, even though you always connect to (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NFPA article

(...) I got the impression (from James' post, not the article - which I haven't read) that the special protection was to prevent smoke *from* burning ABS, not to prevent smoke *on* ABS. I know, just from safety training(1), that some varieties of (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: What a bunch of minifigs

On Mon, 3 Jan 2000 21:48:42 GMT, Tony Priestman uttered the following profundities... (...) There are still remnants of their catalogue on my site. Mainly the spares pages are present. (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: What's a fair price for 4532/4537/4539s?

My 2 centavos. (...) This strikes me as skewed. The older crossing is now rarer and is worth much (30-50%??) more than the newer one. (...) A tad high. My 4536s ended up averaging around 47 each across all of them. I personally (and I KNOW that (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What a bunch of minifigs

(...) Hmm... you seem to include sets from 1999 and 2000, yet you're looking for a 1 year period? You don't include sets that haven't been released yet, so do you mean stuff that was *technically* available throughout a 1 year period, being Jan 1, (...)   Re: No new space sets?

(...) selling good models. Now, TLG's only concern is money and exploiting trends! Will they ever again be how they were during the Classic Space line?! Z (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Has any one else noticed this lately?

(...) I agree with you. If you get compensated for not having the pieces, there's not much more to complain about. If you know in advance that you can call CA and get replacement pieces for free (which wasn't necessarily the case here), you (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)
