Re: Service Catalog gone from lego.com

(...) Actually, Gary, I'd disagree with you here. When I went to LLC, I saw a number of pieces that aren't currently in production. Including (off the top of my head) 2x2x3 extreme slope corners in brown and tan, 1x8 tiles in tan (huge vershukel (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

Re: What is the best pirate ship?

(...) My rankings are: 1 BSB 2 SES 3 IF 4 CC 5 ITP (Imperial Trading Post cutter) 6 AF 7 RR 8 RBR 9 CBC I don't have a SES yet, so it may flip-flop with the BSB, but I specifically wanted the BSB more than the other, so it ranks number one at the (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Greenberg Shows Newsletter

(...) When I talked to them about WAMALUG doing the Upper Marlboro show they talked about how impressed they are with the NGLTC's layout. They asked if we wanted to do another show with them in March, but we had to refuse because of a GATS show on (...)   Re: Minifig box 2 :)

(...) Tamy, could you please add my name to the list. The only thing is that I'll need to recieve it either before 2/20 or after 3/10, preferably the sooner date. :) Thanks Ryan (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Greenberg Shows Newsletter

Hey that was the NGLTC(www.ngltc.org) showing at the October show, they (Greenberg people) were quite amazed with the LEGO trains. They wanted us to do thier show again this coming weekend, but it's just too close to the holidays. I would be really (...)   Re: Update 9906

(...) I got the fixes. Thanks for the rapid turn-around, Chris! About 973s01 - I don't remember if this subfile ever had a back surface. The name does clearly state that there's no back: "~Subpart Minifig Torso without Front or Back". IIRC, the back (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Service Catalog gone from lego.com

(...) OK, I don't want to shatter the dream John, but I don't think we're gonna get "carte blanche" availability of parts, even from LEGO Direct. Not unless TLC alters their basic philosophy for parts creation. I think that the reality of "parts (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO Direct Questions

(...) At LLC, they have a single mold pushing out 2x4 red bricks. Being a complete and utter layman when it comes to the injection molding industry, all I can really say is "it looked neat". :) James (URL) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Shipping from Germany

Re: Entrega U1-S9 - no go for me...

That's not it. The conditions work fine, if the system is driven by another machine with standard serial port. Somehow, the connection fails due to the lack of the ACK signal from the RCX making it back in time. I have modified all possible (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LEGO BABY set

I think that's also the reason why TLC sells the segments seperately (#2468) so that you can make your chain as large as you want it to. It's good to know that they still count on their old system that allows you to combine your toys and to "build" (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.primo)

  Re: How many sets?

OK OK OK, you twisted my arm..... That would be about 2900 sets and approximately 500,000 pieces. Windows and doors - about 6000, of which 4000 are from the classic era (from before 1978). I never took a complete inventory, but I did do some (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Anyone ever build the Glacier Express?

I've been thinking now that we have LEGO Direct on our way and some other sets providing the necessary parts, I might want to try building part of the Swiss rail line. I've been on it and have books and photos I could use but what would really help (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)
