First you need the source code for IC, the compiler, and apparently Unix since the source code requires some pre-processing and the script to do that works under Unix (which I don't have). Transmission and reception of IR data is quite different from using IR just to bounce it off obstacles to detect their presence. (...) The Sharp IR detector is designed to respond only to modulated IR signals. The card from Radio Shack will indicate whether the LED is illuminated, but it won't tell you whether it's modulated at the proper frequency. Perhaps that could be the (...)
