Re: 2000 Sets found in the US

(...) Ah-ha! I just saw this week's sale flyer! All Star Wars Lego, 25% off! I'll be going back tomorrow to request a refund of the 25%. :) But then I'll have to decide whether to pocket the savings, or just buy some more... Steve (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Oops. Sorry. That should have been *165* pieces. Still not a lot of pieces. Steve (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  RE: L298 Motor Driver

James, Have you considered stacking two L293D chips on top of each other, solder the legs together and add a heat sink? You should be able to drive motors in the 1A range. Just a thought. -kam (URL) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Junior, Juniorized, Juniorization

(...) Okay, IMHO, BURPs have great potential and you can do tons of stuff with them. <grin, duck, run> I just moved and left my BURPs at my old house - you wouldn't believe how much I miss them... And, you couldn't create a hollow effect using other (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: LNP congestion avoidance improved

Great! While it is too late for the class I'm helping out with, and it currently looks like it won't be offered again, I'm still looking forward to playing with this in the spring.   review: LEGO '99

A little over a year ago, we were all poring over the little 1999 one page mini-catalog (or at least the scans of it Huw had up at his website). Most of us expressed joy at the new sets while some showed disgust. Personally, I was excited about (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: [FA] - eBay - Lego CUSTOM: - Unique 4 axle custom Hopper

(...) I'm too much of a pessimist to expect that the bulk sales are going to come cheaply enough that a clone manufacturer could hope to compete directly against LEGO by buying their elements. I don't think LEGO isn't going to price the bulk (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: [FA] - eBay - Lego CUSTOM: - Unique 4 axle custom Hopper

(...) Now, if that was so, Richard, why would I have noted in *both* my recent posts in this thread that I wanted to know how Lego would view this? In this case, Lego has absolutely the "whip hand": if they do not want this to happen they are the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  LNP congestion avoidance improved

Hi there, on my way to a reliable LNP layer (and gdb, hopefully), i did some tests about how well LNP congestion avoidance works: I compiled 2 functionally identical programs, one on my linux-box, one on my RCX. Both of them setup an adressing (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
