Re: 4561 alternates (was: sale at kbkids)

(...) OK, now we can at least see the experts moving around in the brushwood. But look how they are now desperately trying to de-rail (!) the thread about the issue if they can build 4561 alternates... :-P Martin E. (making tracks(!) very (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Horrible quote from the Scala web catalog

I agree, Tamy. I've discussed this general topic with a few Danish women and they hardly saw anything wrong with such statements as the one quoted. There is an interesting book, which I'm sorry to say I've only read a fraction of, titled: Americans (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.scala, lugnet.general)

Re: TRU has 8448 and 4561 for $99.99

ARGHHHH!!!!!! I really dislike the TRU site. I tried to order an 8448 and my shopping carts continues to show up empty. This has happened before. When will they ever fix their website. Complaints don't work, I have sent numerous ones in the past. (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: "If it were my toy company..."

(...) This also -- to my non-laywer mind, of course -- partly reduces the legal issue. If submitted designs are publically available on the web site for a year or so before being considered for production, that seems like ample time for the (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lego de-lurks!

Marco, Many (most? all?) of your wishes can be easily fulfilled with the HandyBoard and its expansion board. It is programmed in Interactive C ... so if you've been using Dave Baum's NQC there is only a very small learning curve, it has more I/O (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Super Car on sale

Uh oh...more bad news for those of us on a budget: The Sunday Los Angeles Times has an ad from Toys 'R' Us listing the 8448 Super Car for $99.99 (regular $129.99). If the MSRP really is $130, then it's not as good a deal as the Space Shuttle from (...) (26 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Custom lego Kits group (was 4 axle custom Hopper)

(...) Actually, I'll bet they actually couldn't put any restrictions on the parts. Unless each part is individually marked with a unique serial number (like paper money), there's no way to track what happens to the pieces after sale, and therefore (...)
