  Re: Looking for track

(...) I think I don't need to. You said it all. My advice: Buy your straights and switches NOW before the price increase. Buy lots, because you can always sell it off if you need to. Curves? those can be had for less than S@H because people are (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: TLC or TLG?

(...) I would be inclined to not worry about it until there is some change in LEGO's Fair Play policy(1), which still gives "LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site" as an (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: **** MLCAD V1.6 IS AVAILABLE NOW ****

I think MLCad is aces. But isn't using the MindStorms typeface kind of infringing on TLG trade dress? Just something to ponder. (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Brad Justus is real

I thought the same thing, until someone showed how it could be done here as well. But your point is well taken. People here in LUGNET are on the whole mature adults who are responsible people. It is our little utopia (8 wide, of course;) based on (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Looking for track

Welcome to the world of LEGO trains, Jack{:^D As far as acquiring track, I think you'll find that it's best to just suck it up and order from S@H. Auctions including track aren't very common, and even then it is folk who are looking to unload (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Throwbot (Slizer) gearboxes

Go to a local Sam's Club and get the 8-pack of Throwbots for $34.99 ... much cheaper than the $6x8 = $48 "retail" for all of them. -Lee. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Looking for track

I have just taken the plunge this year to get a train, and now have the problem of acquiring enough track. Is there a good way to get track? Short of calling S@H that is. Are there regular auctions that include track? Is there a way to get track and (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 1.5 Upgrade -how?

Well, I want to check out the 1.5 software (may have to use it for FLL next year), and don't really have another choice. The price isn't a problem, it is the fact that while it says "24 Hours", you get completely different companies depending on (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I believe this set has been out of production for longer than the 2 yr limit, could somebody please scan and upload it? Thanks in advance. -Lee. (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.db.scans)

In lugnet.dear-lego, Todd Lehman writes: [snip] (...) For me, this hammers in why LUGNET is where I want to be. You notice that the forged posts were posted to USENET and not to here.   Re: Strange "cartoon" gears?

I don't have them either. I sold all my old legos when I was about 17 or 18. I still regret that. One of the nice things about these gears is that you could mesh them at various angles, up to 90 degrees. Most current technic gears don't do that. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: 2000 Star Wars sets are out in US

I just checked out the pictures and I'm so glad these sets may be under the tree this year! One teeny nit-picky thing, though. The picture on the B-Wing box shows the ship flying with the wing out to the right side. It never flew this way in ROTJ. A (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

GFLTC in the GATS Tampa Show...

Hi all, Just a reminder the Greater Florida LEGO Train Club will be at Great American Train Show in Tampa December 18th and 19th.
