Mike, Robert - Thanks for your wealth of insight on this. I'm starting to come up to speed, I think. So, the RCX is acknowledging the IR tower command string, based on receipt of a EOS of some sort, perhaps, and OmniRemote can't process that ACK? (...) Anyone have any old 1715 (400 pc box) or 1867s (400 pc blue buckets) they want to unload? These where my fav for bulk bricks. Also need 2 dk grey 666s. (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

I found out about it by calling Lego Consumer Affairs. The number is 1-800- 453-4677. I just asked about the Lego Mindstorms Robotic Invention System (RIS) Upgrade.
