  Re: Canadian Tire

(...) Dont forget that USAians can get GST (but not PST) back. Costs a stamp. (...) OK, I'll pay for shipping. But I don't care if these are squished down, I just want them for parts. And .55 on 1.70 is not a bad profit margin. In absolute terms (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: e-commerce (was Technic shuttle etc)

(...) Oops! I actually ordered 15. I wanted to buy 17, but couldn't. I am actually going to sell off 5 of them to defray the cost of buying so many. I figure that I can keep 10, sell the rest via whatever channels I deem fit and cut down my cost and (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Potentially more annoying are sales that when you enquire about the item you get the reply, "You were the first to ask about this item so it should be yours, but someone else asked about it too so I'm going to auction it off instead."
