Re: Dennis Bosman's LEGO Trucks and Construction Machinery

Seconded. This site is awesome. I have one minor beef, which could be a Netscape problem... Dennis uses floating or "wrapped" pictures in which the text is supposed to flow around the pictures, but in some cases, at least on my NS 4.0x browser, the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Lego In Chu?

(...) Yes, I got one in a trade. Worth having for the novelty value but boy are they bad. I suspect that TLG won't take action without some sort of assistance, if we could trace these a few steps back in the direction of the source, it might help. (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO Ausstellung in Wien

(25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.at.wi.wie, lugnet.loc.at)

Re: Old Parts replaced by Newer Versions?

(...) I'd say functionally-different variants are pretty important. Jamie's example of the "Plate 1 x 1 with Clip Light" is one example of an important variation. An example that has been discussed at length on L-CAD and lugnet.cad.dev at length. (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Murphy has his innings (was Re: Larry's visit to Bierland

Well, remember how I said 99%??? It's the 1 percent chance that gets you every time. Our trip was canceled. Drat. I was really looking forward to exchanging lies with you guys... Sorry about that, everyone. If it's any consolation, I think I'm going (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.de)

  Re: Technic Shuttle for £4!!

Its the web version of a carboot sale! Will they give a discount for a big order? Lego Technic 8266 Blue Flash VS Arachnophob - still not worth it at £2 OK. Who bought all the rock raiders? For the micro motor: 10 Lego Technic 'Space Shuttle (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Technic Shuttle for £4!!

(...) I don't know of the top of my head. But I've just placed a modest order (2 shuttles, plus some wild west stuff). I don't care about Karma - you'll work out why in a moment. I expect them to honour the deal. Because in my spare time, when I'm (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Dennis Bosman's LEGO Trucks and Construction Machinery

Humina humina humina! Dennis's trucks are the most amazing LEGO models I've ever seen in my entire life! (IMHO, these beat out anything made even by professional LEGO model builders...) If you haven't been to Dennis's site yet, ya gotta check it (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce)

Problems with "built-in" IR proximity sensor

Hi all, I have been trying to use the IR beam + light detector to simulate an IR proximity sensor, as suggested by many. However, I don't seem to succeed, no matter what I try. I wonder if anyone on the list has experienced problems before getting (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
