Re: soft rubber sloped pieces in 6473

They were also available in #8824 Technic Hovercraft (starting about 7 years ago). I remember because S@H had a #8824 for free w/ technic orders ($70+ or something) about 2 years ago. -One of the biggest sets I ever remember them giving away for (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO Outlet store - NOTICE!

(...) Sounds good. And if Buffie can actually report mail order figures to Lego, well, that ought to tell them something, since most of it (if not all of it) would be AFOLs. (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: soft rubber sloped pieces in 6473

I think this piece pair was originated for a technic hovercraft set. I love that part pair. The straight ones make GREAT diesel loco fuel tanks. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's the biggest/best spare piece you ever got in a set?

This isn't that big a spare piece, but probably the one that suprised me the most. I ended up with about 7 or 8 extra capes in one my small SW sets (can't remember which one). When I opened it up the cape seemed thicker than other ones I had. I then (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LTMA vs NMRA

I'm of two minds here. I think being inside an organization is often a way to effect change. After all, that's why I was a registered Democrat the whole time we lived in NY, Democrats were where the power was. Never gave up on being Libertarian. So (...)   Re: New part: Plate 6 x 6 x 2/3 Cross with Dome - 30303.dat

(...) Thanks, and I agree. At this point I am looking for practice with developing parts. I realize that there are parts people are wanting very badly, Let them experience some patience. We have just began our collection of parts, and will not spend (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LEGO trains...The Future of Model Railroading?

I can't believe that you work in such an esoteric industry (walnuts) and you're allergic to the oil! Talk about ironic. How are you set for large baseplates? I picked up 66 of the 15x15 grays when I was in Ottawa for 5.99 CDN each plus taxes. I plan (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) Good disclaimer. (...) Understood. (...) Its commendable what you're doing here, Dave. Its pretty controversial, and I'll be one of the first people to admit that I'm against it, but it still should be taken at face-value: a contribution. You (...)   PentWing Fighter  [DAT]

Here's the 5-winged fighter I mentioned in .build/.space (inlined and sorted for your convenience). Believe it or not, this model can balance on just one of its wings quite easily (actually, it's probably better supported that way than on two (...)
