Correct on All counts. Birkenhead was by far the biggest thing that Lego attempted in Australia. Although my memory of it tells me that it was quite a dear place, but had almost the entire range there.. It was at one of the ones in Centrepoint..the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.au)

What I would like to do is to steer the RCX from the PC, by querying its state and send it high-level commands (for example to make (...) I've asked students of mine to find a solution to remote-control an rcx by the web. These are just their first steps in this area. Has anyone established this already? Yes do put some programming ability into your app, would be useful to write simple programmes to test models without having to get to a PC. Hey maybe Dave Baum can write a NQC compiler!
