  Re: Mechanics of proxy bidding?

(...) It seems to me that if the assumption of how the proxy works is that a proxy will be raised to exceed any newer bid, then ALL proxy bids should be raised to at least that level, not just whichever proxy bid happens to be the one the step by (...)   Time available during 1 kHz system interrupt?

Does anyone know the approximate amount of time available for user assembler programs which "add on" to the existing 1 kHz HB interrupt? Another way of stating that is...how much time is used by the 1kHz HB ISR code? --greg ***...*** * Greg Starr, (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Dungeon Master's Castle / Black Knight's Castle?

(...) Yes. Yes it is. I've got 3 of 'em :) Did they ever come in red? I know the corner ones came in red in the Guarded Inn, but did they ever come as actual wall sections in red? DaveE (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Busy Bee Castle News

(...) Hrmmm.... tempting. You mean it would be $70 or so plus shipping but that price already reflects the removal of your VAT? If shipping on those wouldn't be so horrible it would be worth it, but I bet it'll be $20 per set. (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: My new Engine

It says Geep to me! Nice work. EL maroon is just about brown anyway. One nit (you *did* ask) is at the end of the high hood, if you could extend the triangular surface all the way to the top of the hood that would be better. Might be tricky to do (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  RE: fast firmware downloader

(...) Great! I was using Borland C++ 3.0 because I happened to have the diskettes around. Remember when a C++ compiler fit on 5 (five) 3.5 diskettes? I have no problem with keeping the existing filename structure. It's readable, it serves the (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: fast firmware downloader

(...) I agree with your reasoning. The compiler I have decided to use (Watcom C/C++ v.11 from Powersoft) will compile from the platform I am developing on (NT 4) to the desired executing platform (DOS) and will use long file names just fine.   Re: My new Engine

Hi Chris - Others will have more in-depth analysis, but I like your color scheme quite a bit. The brown merely reflects a weathered burgundy on live engines. Nice job! Ed (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)
