  Re: IntelliMouse Ripe for Hacking

(...) Huh, interesting. That would be cool. I'm realllly skeptical though -- I've seen older optical mice, and it's not just the required special mouse pad that is annoying -- they just plain don't work very well. And according to the CNN article, (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Adventurers in 2000?

(...) I have it on fairly good authority that the arctic area at Legoland California is there more for a punchline to a joke than as a viable subtheme. Email me for specifics, so as not to ruin it for everyone. Still, though many on this posting (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  4x2ReVu: 6198 Sting Ray Stormer

Seven years ago a colonization expedition of scientists and a military escort disappeared on their way to the Antocles islands.   Re: Lego event in Glasgow

An update of sorts: The shop's name is Ottakar's. The model is of the McIntosh Rose (no idea what this is, any suggestions?). A meet may be a bad idea, as that day is when England beat... sorry, play Scotland at Hampden in the Euro qualifiers, and (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

LEGO Droid Devel Kit TV Ad

This morning on Channel 4 (sometime between 7.15am and 7.30am), there was an advert for the Droid Development Kit. I only caught the end of it, but it basically had quite a few robots running about. Ben. P.S. I got my Battle Droid at the weekend, 22 (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Forces of the Black Dragon army flow and flood down the hillside toward the Mertis Castle. A relentless mass of more than six hundred men followed by dragon-faced catapults and the rolling cages of giant serpentine beasts waiting to be freed to (...)   IntelliMouse Ripe for Hacking

Hey, Just wondered if anyone had seen Microsoft's newest IntelliMouse and, if so, if they had the same thought I did about it: this thing cries out to be hacked. It uses a 'tiny CMOS digital camera' to see whatever surface is beneath it and measure (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) I *think* what's being proposed is a consolidation of the various efforts into a more professional setup. Approach TLG with a list assembled of parts people want, and that we have the money (or the backing) for, right now. I think (correct me (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
