  Re: Colous in Lego

(...) A convention I've seen a lot here is "Trans-green", "Trans-blue", etc. (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Light blue bricks/plates wanted: buy/trade

I am after some light blue bricks or plates so that I can add this color to my minifig art museum. Ideally I would like to own a complete Maersk truck. I am willing to buy or trade. For trade I've got unopened Technic 8735 motor packs and many (...) (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Do people contact the sellers for better descriptions?

(...) I have gotten in the habit of asking clarifying questions. However, even that is far from foolproof. People seem to think "good condition" means "not totally slagged"; even after explicitly questions like "bitten/chewed/ damaged, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

New: Amtrak EMD type F 7 attempt

Worked today on a new locomotive model. Pictures of my 1st iteration are up at my website- link through trains/locomotives. I've tried to model the General Motors EMD type F 7 locomotive in what my Marklin catalog says is the first Amtrak color (...) (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Mast options

The parts I have seen discussed look pretty complete, so I will only add my support for the lashing idea. The tallest mast I use on the Agamemnon starts with the tall mast base, a main mast, the the smallest of the top mast, to which I have attached (...) (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: why eBay proxy bidding is broken

(...) E-bay now has the popularity/momentum/visibility to do just about whatever they want and continue to get away with it. I find it unfortunate that their somewhat sloppy idea of online auctioning is now considered the standard. Steve (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Personal Pirates Trivia

Steve Bliss wrote (...) Four - both the Sutherland and Agamemnon have four. The Exchequer simply doesn't have the currency to support three deckers or ships with five midsections. Bugger.
