  Re: Grocery story

Cool Model. Now the cidicens of datsville won't have to go to my service station to buy their food. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: FTP Utility

I like wsftp. (URL) for the product version, most big download sites for an older shareware version that works fine. I have also had good luck with bulletproof FTP and not so good luck with CuteFTP. Cute could be fine, a lot of people like it. (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish)

Sorry about the length of this. I had an interesting experience shopping a few nights ago. I was at one of the usual stores I frequent, looking over the clearance items. (...) Arg, that's why all my attempts to find it have failed miserably! Does anyone know if that means that it'll be generally released then, or will it probably take a little longer to filter up to Scotland? Richard (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: New Ideas for Jambalaya - anyone interested?

(...) Well, that may be. It appears that there are four people interested and if we four pass it around a couple times, we might agree with you and decide to call it quits. (...) I doubt that's true. I've come up with several sets of rules for which (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Paul Sinasohn expounded: (...) I guess the way I'd read it, you would owe a train window and a green cylinder. What about using your original idea of following the rules in order with no going back? How would that interpret your scenario? Something (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) Well, I am more into building the original models. So my spaceport looks like a combination of _all_bases_ever_released_ by TLG. I am still looking for new base-plates to connect them all and to facilitate enough landingplaces for all by big (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: New Ideas for Jambalaya - anyone interested?

I really think this box will die a horrible, quick death. Once you get more than about 3 rules going, many people are going to get the box, and have NOTHING that meets the rules to grab a piece they want. I would have zero interest in such a box. At (...) :That is an excellent job. I like the way it turned out, you look at it and you know what it is supposed to be! And the scale seems to be bang on in my books.
