Wow Eric! I'm impressed!! This is the part of the LEGO Master Builder skills that I would flunk at. I just wouldn't have the patience to do this type of work. Call me a ditto head. I've had Ivar for 5 years and just keep getting more. One thing I did that I wish I hadn't... I used a very nice stain, but then did not put a wear surface shellac on it... now the stain shows the original pine through where it (...) (27 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

Cool beginnings... When you can solve the articulation problems you will have enabled a number of other designs to be created. Build on! I'm assuming (it's hard to tell from the proto pic) that this is a three truck design? One each at the ends and (...) (27 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) No way. The tube is the first thing LEGO patented. Actually, they probably couldn't do anything. That original patent has expired, and I don't remember the tubes being used in any way that could be construed as trade dress. (...) Note that not every set has an inventory. Still lots to do there. There is a group to discuss inventories (lugnet.db.inv ??) I am not sure what the internal format is, but it seems if you did yourself a little project that spat out text files (...) (27 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
