  Re: I quit.

Hi Tory, Sorry to hear this, but I think we all can understand. I personally thank you for all your effort to the LDraw community and thank you for years of contact. We'll keep in touch otherwise. Best regards, Jaco (13 years ago, 9-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

Re: What I've been up to --new business

(...) Yea i'v heard about the vendor space issue. Apparently they do not have the 4th room this year or something to that effect. Never fear i'm sure something will work out. If something doesn't pan out I have other ideas. (13 years ago, 7-Mar-12, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: I quit.

(...) I'm so sorry to learn of your difficult situation and of your decision to leave the hobby, though it sounds entirely reasonable to me. You've put in a ton of work over the years, and even if you never took another look at anything (...) (13 years ago, 8-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

  I quit.

It is with great sadness I have decided to quit LDraw. LDraw has been my primary hobby for about 15 years and an endless source of joy and relaxation, combined with intellectual challenges. But in the last few years, it feels like LDraw has changed (...) (13 years ago, 8-Mar-12, to lugnet.people, lugnet.cad)

Re: LEGO Space Shuttle Makes It To The Edge Of Space (video)

(...) Wow. That is fantastic! Too bad that he didn't choose to build his own MOC instead! But maybe he will next time. JOHN (13 years ago, 6-Mar-12, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: LDView and snapshots (Windows 7 64bit)

(...) Maybe we could get a 64 bit build available on ldraw.org for download? (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub not generating torus in output images

(...) I've stuck with this particular version because the newer editions have been giving me unpredictable results with BFC errors that I can't seem to track down. I won't bother you with all of the details, but I use a lot of custom LDraw parts, (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub is slow on Windows 7

(...) Windows 7 performance issues have come up a few times already, here and possibly at the forums on ldraw.org. (URL) might point to a fix, or to someone who has one. (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

LPub is slow on Windows 7

Ever since I was issued a new laptop from work and installed lpub on it, it takes ages to do any kind of render operation. I am guessing there's some security setting in Windows that has to time out every time it invokes the external program to do (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

Re: What I've been up to --new business

(...) Howdy, Ondrew! Good to hear from you-- I think that it is a great idea, and if you have a passion for it, then I say pursue it! One caveat, though: I have heard that vendor space at Brickworld is extremely limited, to the point that they may (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

What I've been up to --new business

I've been lurking on the train forum for the past few months and was pleasantly surprised to see it become active again. I have been debating posting this as I haven't been able to build in over 3 years now but since the goal is to fund my Lego (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Yellowness

(...) Yep. I don't really understand all the chemistry going on there, but essentially LEGO has a flame retardant in their ABS plastic which contains Bromine-- a naturally yellow/brown color. So, when exposed to UV light (direct or indirect), this (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.general)

  Yellowness

Hi I once built a large building in white, though not finished. It stands on a cupboard, at the other end of the window, hence not in the sun However, due to ... reasons I have not completed this for some 4+ years, but just lately I realised, that (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.general)

Re: LPub not generating torus in output images

(...) Hi Dave, That is a really old version of LPub. I can imagine that you are using it for a reason, like you want to render with POV, but if that is not the case, I suggest you update LPub to version 4.0.0.11. It renders using LDView or LDGLite (...) (13 years ago, 5-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)

LPub not generating torus in output images

I'm using LPub v 2.4.8.0, and I've noticed that it completely omits POV-Ray torus objects in the output images. Any idea why this might be happening? (13 years ago, 4-Mar-12, to lugnet.cad)
