Re: Christmas Trolley in Metallic Silver (drool)

(...) I assure you any laying down of challenges was entirely unintentional ;) (...) Hah! You're going to have a really fun time detailing that one. There's a certain charm to building in the metallic colours. It's like dark blue in the good old (...) (15 years ago, 6-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Official alternative model of set 8671

(...) Thanks Joshua. How did you find out the link to that? (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets)

Re: LPub 4 Callouts (and other questions)

(...) Hm... wouldn't it be relatively easy to implement (yet effective) just to have the possibility to define the crop window for a certain assembly step? That would then work independently on the renderer. And if the coordinates were given in % (...) (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 4 Callouts (and other questions)

(...) I guess I dropped that ball. Someone contacted me about Lunix patches for LPub, and I ignored them. I should have encouraged him to put those patches onto sourceforge himself and join the team. I'll work on that. (...) Kevin (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 4 Callouts (and other questions)

(...) In the case of L3P and POV-Ray, there was the ability for look at coordinates so that you could control what is the center of the viewed image. If such a mechanism were to exist in LDView and LDGLite, LPub could support that. This combined (...) (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Christmas Trolley in Metallic Silver (drool)

(...) Not so fast, Speedy. Although that is a beautiful MOC (which I hadn't seen until now; thanks for showing it), you've never seen my first metallic silver effect that I built a few months ago. (You haven't seen it because I haven't posted a pic (...) (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Christmas Trolley in Metallic Silver (drool)

(...) Thanks, John! Being a sharp-eyed building connoisseur, you not doubt surmised that the "secret" to the roof is attaching all of the 2x2 tiles using only their center tube. The 1x6s are attached using perpendicular half studs. JOHN (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Color page updated

(...) Tore, Feel free to add any color, RGB, name or number you like to the LDConfig.ldr. file. I really won't stand in the way of 100% backwards compatibility to L3Lab. w. (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Minifig Accessory

I just saw that we have parts that description starts with "Minifig Accessory" while others only starts with "Minifig". As I like to have things conform to each other I like to hear also other opinions to this than mine. I think we should keep that (...) (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad)

Lego Gun brings SWAT to Toronto man's office

Long story short, Guy buys gun from brickgun.com, guy builds toy at office, neighbor across the street sees gun thru window, neighbor calls the cops. SWAT does what SWAT does and "take down" guy with lego. Lego guy fully complies and was released (...) (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Christmas Trolley in Metallic Silver (drool)

(...) Nice! Shiny toys are good. But... you're not the most insane user of metallic silver on a train. That honour goes to Peter Norman (URL) ;) Tim (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: LPub 4 Callouts (and other questions)

(...) You know I could swear I pointed you towards a potential candidate for this, like a month or so ago... https://retracile.ne...0/10/16.45 Did you ever get a chance to follow up on that? Don (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Color page updated

(...) Oh. Oh. I... I wish somebody had told me this before, instead of arrogant and provoking things like: "Welcome to 2009". Or maybe someone has tried, but I've been the write protected that time? /Tore (15 years ago, 5-Dec-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
