Version 0.2.3 of txt2dat has been released, you can download it here.

Changes in this version:
  • Upgraded to Freetype 2.3.11
  • Fixed -f option to generate “0 Name:” instead of “0 FILE” as per Ldraw spec. Thanks Philo!
  • Added -g option to generate glyph edges when either background or foreground is transparent.
NOTE: Unconditional vertical lines are drawn at both ends of every straight line segment, so depending on the font author, you may get more lines than necessary. The default internal font is one such case as all the glyph outlines are straight lines in that font. This can be reduced by specifying the -m option, see below.
  • Added -m option to convert vertical lines to conditional if the angle is less than the specified minimum, which defaults to 10 degress. See -g option for explanation.
Note also that the Windows version is now built & tested on Windows 7. This shouldn’t cause any compatibility problems, but if it does, please let me know. Or build it yourself from the source... I use MinGW 5.1.6 and Msys 1.0.

Mac version will be available when Jim gets a chance to build it 8?)
