  L(EGO)Draw parts - 2nd batch

Hi folks, as an early X-Mas present the LEGO Universe Team has shared another batch of part shapes with the community, with the purpose to make them fit for the LDraw Parts Tracker. This time the focus is on Minifig Headgear but there are also some (...) (16 years ago, 20-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.announce)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) LOL. And if you had not asked, someone (me :-) would have asked after the next release to re-integrate the old style pointers. (16 years ago, 20-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) These are great ideas and on the list of todos, but they will have to wait for some future release. I've always assumed that LPub would support the double page concept so that you could have arrows cross pages, but thats going to take a lot of (...) (16 years ago, 20-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Western Train with instructions

--snip-- (...) Oh dear. I started to build one and found a fairly big mistake... The front set of big wheels must be replaced by a set of BBB unflanged wheels. The yellow domes must be attached on a top corner, not in the middle. I'll update the (...) (16 years ago, 20-Dec-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

STX Europe invites everyone to build innovative ships – with LEGO bricks!

I got this in my inbox this morning: STX Europe will launch on 19 December a competition called the BlockDocker. The web based contest can be entered at <www.stxeurope.com/blockdocker www.stxeurope.com/blockdocker> The competition consists of two (...) (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.general, FTX) !

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) I knew someone would say that if I asked. You'd think I'd know not to ask ;^) (...) I have a simple mechanism for inserting pages with pictures. Have not progressed to text or arrows.... Kevin (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

Great news Kevin! I too would like to see the BOM back. And it would indeed be so nice to be able to add corners to the callout arrows. Perhaps even a line to the next page? On the other hand, I like the pointers as they are now too. If it is (...) (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) I'd be happy to test it for you too. Can you send me a compiled executable of LPub? Just mail it. (...) Merry Xmas to you all too! And Kevin: once again I thank you! (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Black faces in LPub generated PDF when printing

(...) I think that Tim means to say is to open the generated PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader and print to PDF. I have a PDF printer installed. It seems a plausible solution since PDF is the native file format of Acrobat and if any program should be able (...) (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Black faces in LPub generated PDF when printing

(...) It looks just fine. It prints fine on a laserprinter. I haven't been able to try out Tim's suggestion. (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) Yes, of course, but not in this next release. Sorry. I'm guessing that hearing this is a double edge sword for you, because in the past, you've taken most every LPub source code update (hint: www.sourceforge.net) and test driven it for me. I (...) (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Santa and his Reindeer

A few years ago I put LEGO train tracks around my son's roof towards the ceiling. This year, I made a team of reindeer and a sleigh to run around the tracks. The Santa is an old LEGO set, but the reindeer and sleigh are MOC. I'm not completely (...) (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) No, but it'd be nice to see an example. Will it be possible to have bends or corners in the arrows? Jim (16 years ago, 19-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: TRU sale Dec 20-24

(...) Wikipedia says Lincoln Logs originated in 1916/17. K'nex is much newer, so they must have bought the rights to the product. Luckily for my credit card, I'm going to be out of town for the duration of the TRU sale. :-) -Chris (16 years ago, 18-Dec-08, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Black faces in LPub generated PDF when printing

(...) I want to make sure that the PDF looks fine before printing? I'd go to hp.com and see if they have any suggestions. Kevin (...) (16 years ago, 18-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Black faces in LPub generated PDF when printing

(...) I don't think there's any direct printing involved but printing the PDF to another PDF as an interim stage may fix (or at least expose) any non-supported PDF in the LPUB output. Tim (16 years ago, 18-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub4 callout arrows vs. pointers

(...) No, sounds good to me! (...) Very nice! I've been playing with LPub for the past month or so. While there are a few bugs that I have run into, the program has been amazing to use! Philo's comment about the BOM is well taken - and I am happy at (...) (16 years ago, 18-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)
