Re: Review of family trip to LDC Schaumburg

(...) It was actually fun for all of us, including my wife, whom one of the staff helped build a little lego baseball. She also got into watching the kids race their cars down the tracks, which attracted some of the girls (there wasn't any boys at (...) (16 years ago, 7-Aug-08, to lugnet.legoland, FTX)

(...) Thank you for the very informative review Jason. I may be taking my family next week; about how long did it take to go through the whole Center? (16 years ago, 7-Aug-08, to lugnet.legoland, FTX)

  Re: LEGOdometer

(...) A differential might have other problems. I seem to recall that use of differentials was explored in geared locomotives (such as Shay, Climax, and Heisler), and was abandoned because the differential caused power loss in curves.   Review of family trip to LDC Schaumburg

  Re: LEGOdometer

(...) Yep, I heard about that a couple of months ago ... I'm looking forward to it and plan on being there. It'll be great to participate in a show that also has lots of representation from clubs outside of New England! (16 years ago, 6-Aug-08, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LEGOdometer

(...) That's something I hadn't considered. Fortunately, unless it's run backwards for a long time, it probably won't be an issue. It takes a good while to take up the lash in all of the gears in the opposite direction; the overall gear reduction is (...) (16 years ago, 6-Aug-08, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Herding Sheep Over a Minefield...

Yeah, I'm kind of in an odd mood - this is the second creation, a vignette this time, in what I've decided to call my "Animals At War" series - a pathetic attempt to give credibility to a sick subject. So here we see some sheep being herded across a (...) (16 years ago, 6-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce, FTX)

  Soviet MineDog.

Yeah, this is kind of sick, but it's based on real events. Don't ask me how because I can't remember but the topic of Mine Dogs came up in a recent chat session, and my befuddled mind decided to build one. In WWII The Soviets trained half-starved (...) Shaun, OK, I'm not a train guy and or even a moderately skilled Technic guy, but it's easy to see that this is officially ridiculously awesome.   Very nice building. What part is this?

I like this building a lot. (in addition the the other buildings in this BShelf acct). I am wondering what part is used on this. It is on the 2nd floor, white, towards the bottom of the white window frame treatments. (there are three of them) It (...) (16 years ago, 6-Aug-08, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.town, lugnet.inv)
