Thank you for the very informative review Jason. I may be taking my family
next week; about how long did it take to go through the whole Center?

It was actually fun for all of us, including my wife, whom one of the staff
helped build a little lego baseball. She also got into watching the kids race
their cars down the tracks, which attracted some of the girls (there wasnt any
boys at the girls-bricks table as I recall).
I think that it probably would only take 45 minutes to 1.5 hours at the pace
they generally set, if you dont play, eat lunch, or dally too much. On the
other hand, I could sit examining all the detail in the Chicago diorama alone
for 1.5 hours. About a third of this time would be the movie and mini-factory,
a third the ride and gallery, and a third the diorama and jungle room.
We arrived about 1:30, and left a bit after 4, so we were there 2.5 to 3 hours.
The biggest reason we left was timing of our sons delayed nap, since he melted
down in the shop after not wanting to leave the racetracks. We spent about half
our time in the lego-play area, which passed quickly, and we all could have
stayed another half-hour to hour from the interest that remained in the
racetracks. I personally could have stayed all day, but my attention span and
interest is a lot longer than a two-year-olds. :)
When we got home he and I meticulously went over the map and named all the
things we had seen and done, to fix them in his mind for the next time.
Ill probably go again with the family around when it opens: you want to avoid
the crowds for the exhibition parts, but the play area is more fun with more
kids building.
