  Re: 58231.DAT Slope 33 3 x 6 is wrong type

(...) 58231 is the "opaque" version. 51818 is the "transparent". Same shape, as you note by noticing the dual stamping of codes. -- joshua (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Dalylight train, Southern Pacific Coast

(...) --snip-- (...) I'm terribly happy to see colourful passenger rakes make a comeback. I'm far too lazy to make them myself but they do look excellent when done as well as this one. Tim (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

(...) Thanks. Hopefully next year we can get together at Brickworld and have a big steam up. Cale (URL) (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Legal to sell "reverse engineered" copies of LEGO stickers?

(...) That guy who calls himself "Onideus" on BrickLink is Matthew Moulton. Enough said. Adr. (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: Legal to sell "reverse engineered" copies of LEGO stickers?

(...) I'm not sure they'll be able to stop laughing at the idea long enough to make any arguments. But I could be wrong. Cheers Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: Legal to sell "reverse engineered" copies of LEGO stickers?

(...) I recall hearing once that the 'copy' has to be at least 15% different to not be considerd plagiarism. Allister (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 8-Wide Rutland Gondola

Re: Legal to sell "reverse engineered" copies of LEGO stickers?

(...) I'm not sure it's even physically possible to reverse engineer an image. He could reverse engineer the process used to produce the stickers, but the images themselves can't be taken apart. Even if he's hand drawing each image line by line, it (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

Legal to sell "reverse engineered" copies of LEGO stickers?

Is it legal to sell "reverse engineered" copies of LEGO stickers? Such as here: (URL) This guy is claiming that because they're "reverse engineered" from the originals that they're not "copies" and are therefore exempt from copyright protection. (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: Asking for RIS 2.0 patch under Windows XP

(...) That did it :) However I also installed the Ultimate Builders Set, which gives me a similar error, as well as complaining about a broken Quicktime installation. I saw on the Lego website that this is because of a recent Quicktime version, but (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Maryland & Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 #6

(...) Cale, you're my hero! I've struggled with 4 wheeled pony trucks, and this is the first one using the small BBB wheels I've seen that negotiates around the pistons in one piece. I'm not a big fan of attaching the rail guard to the pony truck, (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Dalylight train, Southern Pacific Coast

(...) Fantastic work! I've always loved this train, the color scheme is just so striking. The solution you've used to get the cars so close together is something I very well may have to look into myself for my Tequila Sunrise. The idea of having the (...)   NXT-G Models in Vista

I'm teaching this week using laptops running on Vista. The laptops also have the full suite of Adobe software. Under these conditions, the models do not show up. The models momentarily blink onto the screen, then the display goes blank. I suspect (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Trebuchet

(...) Ben, Thanks for the info, The trebuchet I built is much bigger than the one that you sent me a link to. I had to make it bigger to get enough weight to toss a 2x2 brick more than three feet. I think I can modify it with some ideas I got from (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Mona Lisa

The Mona Lisa uses a pointillist style that I first saw in Roy Cook’s Aayla Secura Pointillist Mosaic winner of best mosaic at Brickfest 2006. My method differs slightly from Roy’s. Roy attached his 1x1 round plates to Technic bricks. I attached my (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

Re: LEGO set 4999 Vestas (please release it)

(...) Yes I agree. The set should be avaiable to everyone. A set like that should be spread and shown everywhere, also for the important idea to sensibilize people to alternative energies. Only AFOLS can do that, I don't think most of Vestas (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Owl Tower

Hi Happy Builders, Long time not been showing (off) some building ideas. Now that I've cleaned my Lego corner I came around my Owl Tower. Just an idea I wanted to picture: an tower formed with owl-heads. Structure is like Hagrid's Hut (1st one). (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.castle)

Re: LEGO set 4999 Vestas (please release it)

This is one set that I would buy if released to the public. Great design, PF, pieces on different colors and awesome theme! (16 years ago, 24-Jul-08, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, FTX)
