8475 and 8366 RC buggies Receiver unit

So far so good. None of my two receiving units stopped working so far (bought the sets the year they came out). I am most nervous about the internal steering motor since should it fail, the entire receiving unit is useless. Anybody yet had one of (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: LEGOLAND Discovery Center to Open in Illinois

A friend of mine is an acoustics consultant on this project (as they need to figure out how to keep the sound from effecting the rest of the mall tenants). However, he had mentioned that this would be going in across the way at the Streets of (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Interesting find at Target website

(...) The person interviewed owns (or co-owns) the production company. Looks like a way to make extra money off research done for his academic position. He's also done one with a product manager for LGB trains, and one on the Corvette Paul Sinasohn (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 4455 {Hotdog girl}

(...) I think it is the point that it is a girl standing there with money and a weiner. I have heard jokes about this set since it came out. Russell BayLUG (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGOLAND Discovery Center to Open in Illinois

(...) I think this is completely irresponsible on the part of LEGO. Don't they know that we have families and jobs and bills to pay?! I'll never want to leave!! And being only 20 minutes away pretty much means they'll be able to hang fixtures off of (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Shop @Home Phone Specials for Wednesday, February 5, 2008 to Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Below are the two Shop@home specials on the phone recording. When I phoned Shop@home yesterday, I was given a list that included about 14 items. I spoke to a customer service representative this morning who indicated that the first list contained (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: New Trains-n-Town website.

(...) Jeff, Thanks for the input. I am glad folks like the layout, I worked hard to try and put as much functionality into the site before I opened it up. I also did a lot of work experimenting with colors and design so I am glad the work has paid (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: New POV-dat: 3062bL46.dat - Brick 1 x 1 Round Yellow with POV Light

(...) Exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for to "lighten up" my space crafts. Question: How do I develop my own files? I can't seem to get the datshine102.exe to work. Even if I have to hand code them into the .ldr files, I'll be happy. (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Help identifying a set

(...) This is not the pre-school set 078. Pre-school is the forerunner of Duplo and appears in 1975 in the USA. To see it, locate a scan of the 1975 USA consumer catalog, the one with a red cover and maxifig in a box. The box art of the airplane and (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: New Trains-n-Town website.

In lugnet.trains, Eric Kingsley wrote: SNIP Looks cool! One thing I noticed: on the brick word 'trains' in the logo pic, the yellow 'a' has the 1x3 along the bottom. I wonder if the 1x3 should be vertical along the right side to better imitate the (...) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Part 50944x1?

Does anyone have even a mock-up that's usable until the full part is ready? It's the wheels for almost all of the Tiny Turbo sets. I've been putting the tyres in without the wheels and man do those cars look weird. :-) (17 years ago, 6-Feb-08, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LEGO Steampunk in 50 Bricks or Less

(...) You're not the first to ask; I'll be posting a couple of examples to clarify things. The answer is that I'll be counting minifig parts the way LEGO does in their sets. A "naked" figure would be three parts - legs, torso, head. Hats, weapons, (...) (17 years ago, 5-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Re: LEGO Steampunk in 50 Bricks or Less

Do minifigs count towards the piece count, or is it 50 plus fig? Adrian (17 years ago, 5-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.contests, FTX)
