Re: Dear lego, please make a service pack with the new windows & doors in it

(...) I didnt say new moulds. I said new mould runs. They already make the parts in white, they dont make them in black. Ergo, its more expensive to put the black parts in a set than it is to put the white parts in. (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Getting your MOC's to shows?

(...) Dave- We've been hauling LEGO around since 1995, first for contests, then commissions, and later for small events around town. In 2001 we started doing LTC shows and in 2004 we started attending BFs. Initially we carried fully assembled MOCs (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: IT'S TOO DARN QUIET!!!!!!

(...) I don't have any pictures, since I had to dismantle it when I moved, but I had pretty good luck using a technic turntable, driven by a worm gear. The span consisted of four pieces of straight track, built up with some plates and tiles to make (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Likewise, if you can get a hold of 4 curved monorail tracks, I've seen that used as the basis for a turntable also. The smooth top of the tracks makes a good running surface for any sort of motor-driven wheel. -Jordan (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I'm extremely guilty of not replying to other people's MOCs here on Lugnet. As for new stuff, I don't have anything I thought was post-worthy. I haven't started on either of my two future train projects, but I have been having a little fun with the (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) I don't have any pics off-hand, but the best designs I've seen use a circle of 9volt track for the base of the turntable, and a 9volt motor set under the spinning track. (...) Okay, I will start. I'm in need of examples of GOOD/GREAT and functional turntables. We'll worry about a roundhouse later. I've knitted together hundreds (400+) 8x8 plates and placed them on 4 large baseplates. So I have the ultimate (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  ALL-TIME Greatest Loudmouths on LUGNET?

I remember each year we used to find out among us who was the chattiest from the previous year, but that hasn't happened in a while, so I think that it would be k3wl to find out who the all-time greatest are up until this point. Is that possible? (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jan-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)
