Re: LEGO 9V Train Communication II

(...) I already did something very close. I reversed engineer the IR protocol of the Power Functions and created a small device that can both send and receive IR commands. The components in this device probably cost around $10-15 (but excluding the (...) (17 years ago, 20-Dec-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: renderer.dll

(...) Wow. That would be very awesome. :) (...) I don't remember - does VB5 have native code compilation? This would probably be one situation where that would be a good option to use, for performance. I also seem to remember that VB5 came with a (...) (17 years ago, 20-Dec-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Grunts - Episode 3.

(...) Is it my English that fails me or is the touch of evil intended in this new episode? I wonder when anyone else will pick up on the idea of creating a daily LEGO comic strip. Thanks, Jerry (17 years ago, 20-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.military)

My attempt at a railway bridge

Hi all, I always meant to show this - but didn't manage to translate the describing page to English. Anyway, it's finally done (the page, that is - the bridge itself is still a work-in-progress). Enjoy: (URL) not architecturally thrilling, but it's (...) (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.trains)

  renderer.dll

I had the idea to write a dll that contain all necessary stuff to render a model and show it in a window or a picture box in windows (W98 or higher). I have had some problems at the beginning but after some help it works (with still some problems), (...) (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Space Corridors for the new Comand Center-Classic Space

(...) These are a great start at a moonbase. It looks like the hallways aren't quite long enough, though. They should be the exact size of a large baseplate, with 48 studs from one end to the other. These look like they're around 44 studs. -- Tony (...) (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.space)

  RIS 2.0 software

I just gave my 12 year old daughter a RIS 1.0 (yep, an original one with the 1.0 RCX) set for her birthday. Unfortunately, it looks like the software supplied with the set doesn't seem to work with XP (it seems to install, but doesn't want to run). (...) (17 years ago, 16-Dec-07, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) If someone can get hold of Mark Riley and have him 'fix up' LDCC to be 'Power Functions/RC Train' IR compatible instead of DCC, that'd be a quick fix :) The rest is already built in--remote control, LACC, etc... Dave K (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO 9V Train Communication II

(...) I've got to say if I muttered those words aloud, my wife would likely come at me with a large blunt object :). But I agree - I need to lay hands on an IR train and start working out more of this myself as well. (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Bacon popcorn, - was something about my 24hr of my first day off
