Re: New MOC: Legoland Spacelines 979

(...) Although pretty, longer landing gear requires either fancier (usually weaker) joints or bigger doors. But I'm glad people like the landing gear clips! (...) I was heavily inspired by some photos I found of the Minerva from the anime Crusher (...) (17 years ago, 24-Oct-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: News from California

(...) Scott- I always though when I moved to CA from CT once-upon-a-time that I was moving to the land of earthquakes, not fires, but over the years the fires have really dominated (of course, that will probably change when the long overdue BIG ONE (...) I was worried #1 about you guys and your safety, but also #2 about the toxic cloud that would have covered all of Irvine if all (...) (17 years ago, 24-Oct-07, to lugnet.legoland.california, FTX)

How to pull a long train (Was: Re: End of 9V Trains protest layout idea)

(...) The running resistance is a complex issue. Its main factors are: weight, speed, distance between axles, and track type (straight/curve). On the real life trains, suspension is also an important factor. On a straight track, the movement of a (...) (17 years ago, 24-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

No shortage of crane options. I like that :-) How about a large pedestal-mounted crane? (2 URLs) Now I'm biased because I built one :-) (URL) But this sort of model lends itself well to RC'ing, particularly with a 4-function control (i.e. just like (...)   Re: Unseen inner structures

(...) Thanks Ross and all who answered on LDraw.org. Seems the consensus is to model at least a minimum of inner stuff. For the moment, I'll resubmit with a "needs work", as I prefer to work on the delivery of the others NXT parts to the Tracker. (...) (17 years ago, 24-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)
