Re: Walker useing new leg design

(...) As Elmer Fudd would say, "That MOC wocks!";-) All seriousness aside, that is trés cool, Chris. Can't wait for Ross' reaction-- He'll flip out! It's funny; he's actually building a robot-thingy (I think that the technical term) right now as (...) (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: NOT the next rtl game

(...) Uh, nope. Derek, you are a grown man, you are responsible for getting your own chicks. Giggle. Hmmmm... wait a minute, why am I getting them for Chris then? I need to re-evaluate the situation. Janey "Red Chick... errrr Brick" (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: SpringBrick: A hypothetical LEGO convention

(...) Well I do tend to catch Auction Fever... and Dan took pity on me, Im sure. As well, at that time, I had no idea who I was biding against, had I known it was for the Museum, I would have perhaps behaved better (nah, Im not sure I know how to (...)   New Project: DatShine, LDA, PreL3P, L3P, And POV Involved

I have decided to set aside at least one hour a day to the project I just started today by writing this post. The three main goals are: 1. Create a short animation, using the tools mentioned in the subject line above. 2. Write a diary that explains (...) (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Thoughts sought on final newlines

(...) FWIW I'm pretty sure ldglite saves with a newline (of some sort) after every line. And my opinion is that all programs that *create* ldraw data should do that. It's just common courtesy. After all, we have no control over third party (...) (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: Walker useing new leg design

As I wanted to play with your design (and if possible decrease the number of L7 axles still relatively scarce in my collection...), I modelled it using (URL) Euklides 2.02 geometry freeware>. (URL) Euklides file is (URL) here>. You can animate the (...) (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: SpringBrick: A hypothetical LEGO convention

(...) Very true. It would have to be planned sometime in the middle of most people schedules. (...) I'm recycling this from another post, but another idea that was tossed around was to loosely base the competition also around some of the cook-off (...)   Re: Thoughts sought on final newlines

(...) I echo Mike. This is a programmers issue (is it honestly that hard to check? I would say no) and not something that should be put into the spec. -Orion (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: SpringBrick: A hypothetical LEGO convention

(...) The event is still hypothetical at this point. We may or may not have it ready for spring of 2008, but please consider it if we do have it in the future.   Re: Thoughts sought on final newlines

(...) I agree fully on this. A text line is not complete until you have specified the end of it (with EOLN). A LDRAW model consists of text lines, and should IMO end with EOLN. Windows expects 'text' files to end with EOLN, and mistreats them if (...) (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Thoughts sought on final newlines

(...) We had a discussion about this item some times ago. I can not find the thread right now. The conclusion was: The user should not mind about that, the programer should. So if you write a prog for LDraw compatible files, you should check for (...) (17 years ago, 20-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)
