  Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) I'm pretty sure the ldconfig.ldr colors are designed to match the brick colors when no lighting is used (as in the second LDView picture above. If the ambient and diffuse terms add up to more than 1.0, the original colors end up getting washed (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) I'm open to improving the unofficial ldliterc.dat colors, but I don't expect we want to use all the default ldlite colors -- unless they were tuned away from the original LDraw (ie, 4-bit VGA) colors. The other issue is if we the built-in (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) The actual truth may be lost to the sands of time, but I believe the ldlite colors were possibly copied from the original LDRAW colors, and the ldlite Windows lighting code was matched to that? I know I did a good amount of twiddling in the (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

(...) eccomi. Mi offrirei ancora io per l'organizzazione di questa parte, se siete d'accordo. L'impegno sarà più grande, quindi se avrò bisogno di aiuto ve lo farò sapere.   Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) It's hard take a poll like this without more info. I like all sorts of vehicles, but I'm more interested in what's in the sets- what parts, what functions, what colors, etc. The 8275 Bulldozer wouldn't be much of an inspiration, except it's (...)   Re: Wonderful design tidbits PDF - anybody else impressed?

This is a very well-designed book. He's following LEGO's lead in not using words to describe the pictures and instead lets the pictures describe themselves. I really like his color choices. They make identifying parts very easy. This is a subtle (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) looked at the ldliterc.dat above, and color 7 has the same setting as what is in ldconfig.ldr. However, the actual color being rendered seems too light. For example, here is an image from the part tracker: (URL) Here is the same part rendered (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: 7996 Metalized

(...) Why shoudn't this work? Lead-free solder needs a higher soldering iron temperture, keep this in mind, but it can be used. Why i did use the 60/40 lead solder is that i don't have lead-free solder at home yet. Its intention was also to figure (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: The Future of Trains // Wishlist

(...) Well put Don. Better than I could have done. Every time I started to write something up I had trouble containing my anger and writing something constructive. Right now my hope lies not with the LEGO company, but with fans, finding ways to (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: The Future of Trains // Wishlist

(...) Point of view? I enjoy working with my LEGO trains. I put out a lot of work in 'abusing' my trains to do a show, both for the visitor and mine own pleasure.   Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) When I was 14 years old or so, I would make expert builder style race cars in every color I could. Then I could play out a realistic race with all the cars. I even made a movie with them in school, I wish I could get a hold of that! What about (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)
