  Re: YA Steam locomotive

(...) Thank you Chris. The connector joints are part 44 and I think they have been around for a while. Indeed, it would look better with the smokebox and bottom of the firebox in dark gray, but a few of the parts are not available (sigh). Benn (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Impact of LTCs (Re: The Official "Issues List")

(...) ... (...) The thing about the 9v trains is that it is a gateway to building a train layout (conventional model railroading has a long history with adults, etc etc etc). The layout, whether a LTC or in someone's basement, will likely be (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.ambassadors, lugnet.trains)

  Re: LEGOFan Status

Re: LDraw File Format Spec 1.0 DRAFT - Call for Public Comments

--snip-- (...) I'm not new to matrices and Travis' example is still a little unrigorous which is why I propose the mathematically sound form above. Note the amount of discussion already here because of what people consider 'standard' or 'given' (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: MOTM Contest Questions and a Proposal

Some quick answers... (...) Excellent. Thanks. (...) You should include the unofficial parts as submodels. (...) So long as you invent it then it's yours to submit. (...) ... (...) I'm not a contest admin, but I would like to point out that LDView is currently used to render the MOTM/POTM contest entries. So from a purely technical standpoint, it's unlikely that problems will be encountered with unofficial part (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad)

Re: new moc: microscale caribbean resort

(...) hi jonathan, nice to hear from you! glad you like my little getaway place. and yes, those are embedded fence pieces to get that little detail on what would have otherwise been a really boring roof line. in my post, i forgot to give credit to (...)   MOTM Contest Questions and a Proposal

The new minimum-entries rule has inspired me to enter the LDraw.org Model of the Month contest. I have a few questions: 1. Should entries that use unofficial parts (real LEGO parts that are not yet LDraw certified) include those parts in the MPD (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad)
