Robert, The US seems to have moved away from having lighter undersides on both planes and choppers (perhaps because so many missions are at night) but I've seen a number of Russian helicopters with lighter undersides. (...) I don't see the utility of having lightened undersides for helicopters since they generally fly so low. It certainly helps high flyers like fighters and bombers. Your MOC is a fine looking helicopter. (19 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)
