(...) I've seen color variations in the same part. I ordered a batch of dark-red 1x10 bricks off Bricklink, and about 1/3 of them came in extra dark. Fortunately, only half of them were going to be built into front-facing surfaces, so all the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

(...) Oh, I had no intention of using 2x4 bricks to add counterbalancing weight (unless, of course, they were magnet bricks). They just happened to be handy for a weight estimate, but using them permanently would have caused some of the same (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I 2nd what Ted is saying. At Brickworld the LEGO REPs told us that they are aware of the color issue and have corrected it. TLC changed the way they make the bricks. Before they would use a batch of "colored plastic" and send that into the (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)
