  Great Wall of China

I know this MOC has been done a few times but I added a small twist: The turrets, road, and wall get smaller from the front of the model to the back of the model. I hoped that this would add to the illusion of an extended depth. (URL) More pictures (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build)

Re: Looking for Train Contact in New York

(...) Ed, On a similar note, if you ever get requests for any upstate New York events that might need manpower, let me know. Though I'm a NELUGer (NELUGite?), I'm probably as close to New York as I am to most of the NELUG events (I'm in southwestern (...)   Re: UTB set, LDD and LEGOFactory

(...) Um, I dunno. It's probably *A* goal, but it's also about reducing the cost of the set. Why print instructions if you can avoid it? Part of it is also the intended audience. Kids might not be all that likely to jump on the internet and get the (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: Market Street Preview on LEGO Factory

(...) I wonder if the new set (and the Cafe Corner) are compatible with these MOCs: (URL) Sinasohn LUGNET #115 BAYLUG (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: UTB set, LDD and LEGOFactory

(...) I would have to challenge your basic assertion. In the past there have been other "sets" that were a collection of parts and came without instructions for anything at all. They also released Idea Books sold seperately. This is a collection of (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: Looking for Train Contact in New York

(...) I believe I was in contact with Jim before this event, and LUCNY couldn't get the manpower to staff it that weekend. The museum is a great venue, and I live only a half-hour or so away from it, but most of our members are over 2 hours away, (...)   Ebay auctions...

I am parting out most of my collection - student loans, hospital bills, and most of all: no space. Let me know if you are looking for anything in particular - I probably have it... been a collector since 81. No I am not giving up on LEGO - I will (...)   Re: UTB set, LDD and LEGOFactory

(...) Forgot to add their response; "...you will first need to download the LEGO Digital Designer software if you haven't already). Using this version of the instructions allows you to zoom in and out of each step and even look at the steps from (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: UTB set, LDD and LEGOFactory

(...) I bought the UTB. I also have an older computer ... so I can not load LDD. I have complained to LEGO ... with the "standard" usual response. LEE (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.general)

  UTB set, LDD and LEGOFactory

Hi, Why are the UTB set building instructions LDD file format only ? too expensive for them to print the BIs ? hmmm...maybe. But what about pdf BIs then ? Let me make an assertion : People buying the UTB set have to load LDD. So it's a way for TLC (...) (19 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.general)
