Re: Fun with LDView Fly Through (A Minifig's Eye View)

(...) Hi, Anton! Thanks for the explanation. That is a straightforward conversion. I divided LDView's reported camera location and lookat coordinates by 2.5, reversed the sign of the y coordinates, used the default right vector (positive x), and it (...)   Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) I don't think that I'm revealing any secrets by saying that yes, it is true 10183 has been delayed a few days. I don't know the details, but apparently the hold up is due to the printed instructions for the main model. I also just noticed that (...) (18 years ago, 20-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: I shall call him... Mini Me

(...) Oh that little engine on the flatcar is just so cute! Small question tho, did you consider putting any 1x6 lt. grey plates on the drive wheels of the mini-model to better match the large engine's rods? Or did it seem they would be too big in (...)   Re: Fun with LDView Fly Through (A Minifig's Eye View)

(...) Jim, In the Converter I divide every coordinate the LDraw model has by 2.5 and then I end up with the millimeter system I digitized everything with. I have (since I started to build my Library starting in 1992) always used millimeters when (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  new NXT mailinglist established

Hello! A new NXT mailinglist is established. Because there are no german mailinglists until now, this mailinglist is for german speaking (not necessary native) people around the world. You need an (free) yahoo account to participate! (URL) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Technic Manas Truck

Hey guys... Might remember me... I posted the "Millenia Car" last year (was on the side bar for ages!). Anyway, finally got around to building something else (I lead a busy life). (URL) Technic truck based around the motor packs in the Bionicle (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Microsoft Robotics Studio

Several of us working on a robotics project tried the Oct and Nov 2006 releases and could not get the out-of-the-box Lego NXT demo to stay connected for more than about 60 seconds, even after hours (...)   Battery Level NXT-G Block

I've posted a new NXT-G Block that reads the battery level from the UI module IOMAP. Can also be used as a sensor block to detect low power conditions. Details and download: (URL) Ziv NXTasy.org (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

(...) Thanks Brendan, I always enjoy reading your updates. Or looking at the pictures anyway ;) Noticed a typo in Acts 15:6 - tesing -> testing. Regards ROSCO (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Fun with LDView Fly Through (A Minifig's Eye View)

(...) Ah, that's a logical explanation. I just looked in the manual.txt that came with Anton's part library and it does state that it considers a POV-Ray unit 1 millimeter. If one (URL) LDraw unit> is equal to 0.4 mm, then the conversion probably is (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: Announcing Bitsticker (and other txt/bit-to-dat utilities)

(...) Hmmm. It would appear that using the Potrace API and the Triangle API would do almost all the difficult work for software of this sort. I might look into restarting the project although I'm not sure how far I could get with it. Of course if (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Announcing Bitsticker (and other txt/bit-to-dat utilities)

--snip-- (...) Unfortunately I got too busy with other things and kind of let is slide.   Re: Fun with LDView Fly Through (A Minifig's Eye View)

(Moved to lugnet.cad.ray.) (...) I think Anton's library isn't in LDraw units. Since the camera placement is in LDraw units, it won't work right. If you know the conversion factor, you can probably multiply the camera location by that and have it (...) (18 years ago, 19-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
