  Great RCX sensor page

While surfing yesterday I stumbled onto Michael Nielsen's web page. It has some great info about implementing RCX sensors. I don't recall ever seeing reference to Michael's page on this list ... so I requested (and received) his permission to post (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Base Plates

  RE: Base Plates

The grey base plate is set number "628 Extra large gray baseplate". I don't have one in front of me, but I believe it's 48x48 studs or something like that. 627 and 626 are smaller ones (maybe 32x32) in green and blue. They are in the Lego catalog at (...)   Re: Green slopes, some plates, and road baseplates now up

Scott and I have conversed off-line, and Scott is committed to making things right. Yes, the famous chocolate chip "cookie" tins are now on sale. My local one had them reduced, to £1.99. They are cynically advertised at half price, showing as being marked down from 3.99 to 2.99 to 1.99. Considering they never ever sold at 3.99...... (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: robotic rovers

(...) The best versions of them don't have too much gearing in between the motor and drivetrain (motor drives the differential through only one gear) so they are pretty efficient. They won't be as fast or powerful as an A/B motor design however, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
