LEAHI display at the 2006 Hawaii FLL Tournament

Our LUG, LEAHI, put on a (URL) small display> at the 2006 Hawaii FLL Tournament this past weekend (Dec. 2, 2006) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Campus Center. We had a lot of fun, and impressed a lot of children and adults with our various (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-06, to lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.us.hi, FTX)

  Re: monkey rail

I see your point. Trouble is I don't have a 2nd RCX nor any real rotation sensors. Using the speed computers doesn't allow me to know if I'm rotating forwards or backwards. Still the device is impressive enough to give it a try. I'll just go with (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  bulk tubs

I've seen a few catalogues showing a couple of bulk tubs in the shop. The tubs are blue and yellow. Are these the same sized tubs as the old 3033 set that graced the floors of KMart for so many years? From my view of the catalogue, they look a bit (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-06, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) Hi, Think of it like a robot arm. You can't get the precise control without the onboard sensors. It operates almost like an extension of your fingers. Also you wouldn't be able to program autonomous routines. It also enables self centering on (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Ha, you call that cold? Here in Minnesota, when the temp hits the double nickel, we go golfing! Of course, that won't happen until April.... (...) Hey, me, too! (At least about the copying other people's MOCs, that is) We've copied (URL) of (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Trust Bank

I really like this, ACPin. I've always wished that your photography was better, though. Do you set up lights? I see flash glare in several shots. Do you set your camera to manual focus, and/or manual f-stop? Large, interesting areas of your shots (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: monkey rail

Hi, It occurs to me that if you use a pair of rotation sensors to manually control the structure the sensors that are embedded into the structure aren't really necessary ... or are they? What if you simply included a couple of clutches to protect (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Newfound growth or splintering the existing base?

So... ...BrickFest PDX in Portland, April 2007 ...Brickworld US in Chicago, June 2007 ...NMRA2007 in Detroit, July 2007 ...NWBrickCon in Seattle, October 2007 And presumably something in DC also? Is this signs of intense AFOL growth, a change (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Hello, It works like an interactive remote control. That way you can play with it and develop your skill. Vary few people have been able to walk the marble uphill on the first try. First RCX is for the base it has 2 motors and 3 rotation (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-06, to lugnet.robotics)
