  Droid Dev. Kit, reprise

Well, I've built a small "droid" from it now. And I have to admit, since it is a Technic kit, it was fun. It is only a little smarter than a Technic kit that only has a motor because of its programs (such as they are) and the light detector - but, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Update

PS, the Adequate.com logo/banner has a red brick problem too. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Early Technic

(...) Yeah, I had some of those in my childhood. I also remember the red bushings and the white axles. The gears were cool: They could be used both as normal gears and as crown gears. They may look old, but they were still very well designed. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Update

(...) Strikes me as a strong argument for allowing banners and other items to be retrieved directly from your server instead of requiring that we host them in our space. (1) My LUGNET button is back level, and now my Fibblesnork banner is too. Hmm.. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.publish)

  [Off-Topic] Re: X10 X-Cam

(...) The amusing bit is that X10 has been doling out the possible uses for this thing one at a time. First it was the wireless camera, then "DVD Anywhere", now "MP3 Anywhere", when there is nothing different but which wires you plug into the back (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Truck Trivia (was Re: Small new train web site

(...) The GMLTC already uses this technique for mounting tiles vertically, as do I. I actually was referring to the notion of building a non moving door that looks like it was moved to the open position and hiding the trickery. (...) Not to worry. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LEGOLAND trains

(...) Where do you draw the line between using LEGO and non LEGO parts? I can understand using non LEGO internal devices such as computers and whatever else it takes to automate things. Fine. At least Miniland is constructed *entirely* out of (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Update

(...) And on that note, I just removed the red 2x2 LEGO brick that I used to have in the logo here: (URL) can't go around being a hypocrite! --Todd [followups to lugnet.publish] (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Spare Lego for us

I've received a number of offline notes about this, expressing various opinions and pledging various amounts. So depending on the dollar amount, it's doable, and at 5K I'd be in for less than half of the total (but not much less, so far). More (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
