Yes, touch sensors can be used, in fact none of the 3T robots that I am aware of actually used light sensors to directly detect the color of the blocks for tic-tac-toe (some used light sensors indirectly). | (...) Actually, it would be easy enough for someone with electronics and microcontroller experience just to build a new receiver. You typically record the IR signals on a PC, figure out how they're coded, then program a microcontroller to decode (...) (20 years ago, 3-Aug-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.parts.mod)

| Got bored with my old site design and decided to redo it... Some things of interest: :: added new pics and info of mods I did to DomoinoBotNXT - it now uses 4 motors using the Mindsensors MotorMux MultiPlexer and NXT. I also programmed it in RobotC (...) (20 years ago, 4-Aug-06, to lugnet.robotics)
