(...) Seriously, I think the tires were too sticky. When the bot met with something "immovable" (like an anchor bot) then the bot would STOP. (...) I've done the same measurements/plots and found same linearity when 'brake' on inactive PWM cycles is used. Not so good when 'float' is used. I tried to plot power levels vs angular speed (in rad/s) and discovered goooood linearity ( remember how non-linear was RCX PWM)? There are more then one issue with the files and code specified in the tutorial. I found them all, so here is the required fixes to make them work. Step 1.)
