(...) A couple ideas. It seemed to work exactly once for me on a couple laptops. I was able to restore it by deleting all of the virtual serial ports it created (it seems to create one for each scan, then it looses track of which one it's supposed (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Yes! I got the Kensington 33085 to work with the NXT on both Mac OS X and Windows. There are a bunch on sale at ebay for $17 incl shipping with buy-it-now. Here are the steps: OS X - when you plug in the adapter it will ask something about (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)
