I AM WRITING IN CAPS BECAUSE OF PURE ENJOYMENT. IT HAS BEEN A FEW MONTHS SINCE I WAS NOT ABLE TO POST. WELL I'M BACK BABY!!! (THE CROWD CHEERS) NOW AS I AM COMING DOWN FROM MY NATURAL HIGH. THE LEGO BUILDERS UP IN PHOENIX SHOULD GET TOGETHER. WE (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.loc.us.az)

(...) Molto carini! Mine arrived yesterday, earlier than I expected. I ordered two for... battle.>:-) First impressions: I need to buy fresh batteries, so I haven't fired it up yet. The packaging seemed a little lower budget than the original RCX RIS. The consumer NXT (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)

--SNIP-- (...) I think there's more to worry about than the weight. I've not been able to figure out any decent way of getting a seven wide shell over the six wide baseplate that IR requires. I've tried covering it with snotted panels, tiles and (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

 | | LDD to LDRAW Conversion Fixes
|
|
I've been tinkering with the "ldraw.xml" file in LEGO Digital Designer (LDD), and have come up with the following list of fixes for good LDD/LDRAW conversion. In case you hadn't already discovered, if you append ".ldr" to the end of the file name (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.ldd, lugnet.lego, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.build) !!

(...) Great. These answers, along with the info Ben provided, are the answers I was hoping for. You've really given my the urge to get some 7-wide equipment of my own. Of course wanting it and being able to build it are two different things :-) If (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) I very much doubt LDraw is going away any time soon. For one thing it has many, many more parts than LDD including a number that will probably never appear in LDD due to being outdates. Also the interfacing to povray and other programs will (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

 | | Have you got your NXT yet?

I know that some folks already have gotten the NXT and have started playing with it, but I've yet to see anybody announcing such here, so I was curious. Also: should I direct new NXT users into the LUGNET forums? I'm already starting to get more (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.robotics)
