Re: Latest track features and layout module developments

(...) OK, very good information. Thanks. (...) That is very good indeed. (...) Thanks, Dave (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: winch

(...) Kinda agreed... I thought it'd be a "Straight in/straight out" kinda thing. Not the "Grade-3-wind-the-ta...ctricity." But I like creative solutions. I'm curious now what Chris has up his (...) Well, that's the thing about using a capstan. As (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: LeoCad version 0.75

(...) Try checking the "Don't allow relative snap" option in the preferences dialog, it should make things work like in the previous version. I tried to match the mouse and keyboard movement but maybe it's not very intuitive to have the directions (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: A Few Firehouses

(...) Thanks! E289/L138 is my favorite. It took a couple of attempts to get it to where it is now. The first version came out really large. It is the most recent firehouse I have built as well, though it has been built for about two years. I tried (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: A Few Firehouses

(...) Incredible work, Jonathan! I'm sitting here drooling over the realism, the amazing attention to detail and the SNOT construction methods - especially on E289/L138's firehouse. Just awesome. -Steven (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.town)

The question is how to make a reliable straight cut. I've used 4x8 plates for rigidity and slider (...)   Re: New Shirts

(...) I started designing a third batch shirt (we did two runs of the original "Blueprint2001" shirt, one with the screw up on the word "Area", one without) almost two or three years ago. The idea I had come up with was a grey shirt with a set of (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Latest track features and layout module developments

(...) Yes, it's 8mm:1ft scale. There aren't many people building to that scale with LEGO though, as 6-wide trains remain popular and require fewer bricks, with 8-wide attracting a reasonable following. My trains end up 8+ wide for British (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-06, to lugnet.trains)

  A Few Firehouses

I decided to put all my firehouses into one folder on brickshelf (though, I forgot to take photos of one of them). Here they are: (URL) Some have been seen before, some have minor adjustments to previous versions and a couple haven't been shown (...)
