  Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

don't feel bad, people run wget (or similar) all the time (resulting a 2-5GB daily download rate). However, for half the download time, you might want to do wget -A zip since everything is zipped (including the thumbnails and indexes) KL (...)   Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

(...) What part? I can elaborate if you think it would help. net net is that the LUGNET Pause DB would be hard to put on a CD because it's more than just raw data. The pages you see are made on the fly and you'd lose all that. (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  LEGO section starting on Compuserve

In a moment of insanity I agreed to anchor a LEGO section on Compuserve. It's starting from ground zero and I need advice on what reference files would make a good initial core for the library there. I don't want to try and put up masses of (...) (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: General box #5 Canada tour

Due to a snafu (i.e., my long suffering NLSO blew off mailing this box when I was out of town yesterday and today) I still have GB#5, it hasn't actually gone out to Martin yet. So if there is a desire for a change in the starting position, that can (...) (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Three new minifigs

(...) No, I hate ANY music on ANY page. It's annoying, it sounds bad, and it senselessly wastes my time and resources when I download it. (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: dimensions in patents (was Re: 8 millimeters or 5/16 inches?)

I know this thread died a month ago, but I just have to stick my two cents in (not that pennies are worth much these days!): If you ever go to Legoland Bilund coming from the east, you'll drive past the Lego plant. There is a huge lawn sculpture of (...) (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New web pages

(...) Wow! Very groovy! I would never have thought of making a robot like those. Those enlarged Lego pieces are also very awesome! Where on Earth did you get all of those green slopes? Greg "See that spider? Don't mind it, it'll kill ya." Majewski (...) (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

Looking for Member Sites for NELUG

I have started a Member Site page on NELUG and I only had a few URL's for some member sites. I know some of you have your own sites and will look around for URL's when I get time but if you want to submit them to me I will get them up faster. I had (...) Hi Craig, The following 3 sites might help you. They give part names, images and (in some cases) numbers: (URL) (for Technic only) (2 URLs) C. In lugnet.db.brictionary, Craig Livingston writes: [SNIP] (...) (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

Re: New review site going up...

Ya! I like this. Todd told me offline he's thinking of empowering someone to do some content organization in the /reviews/ part of LUGNET. Bad idea. This is somewhere where the bazaar method is presenting us a ready made answer, although it isn't (...) (27 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.admin.general)
